Introduction

Mark Mazzarese grew up in the jewelry business. He began his career in jewelry at a very early age working summers and school breaks for his parents’ retail jewelry store in Overland Park, Kansas, a suburb of Kansas City. Upon graduating from the University of Kansas with a degree in International Economics, Mark returned to Overland Park and joined his parents in the family business. 

He quickly rose to the task to evaluate and develop the custom and guild operation of the then two‐store organization within the Kansas City market. In 1996, Mark designed and launched what would become the family's flagship store in a newly developed lifestyle shopping center to concentrate on more exclusive jewelry and timepiece collections in the affluent suburb of Leawood, Kansas.

Mark took the helm of the company in 2003 and continued to expand the company’s scope of products by continuing to introduce exclusive designers and watch brands to the market. The company continued to grow and now had a reputation as a regional influence, servicing clients all over the continent. 

In 2012, an opportunity arose to allow Mazzarese to expand his realm of influence, and M. A. Mazzarese & Associates was founded to serve the manufacturing and retail sectors of the fine jewelry industry. He applied the knowledge he acquired to consult with international manufacturers and retailers to improve processes in sales, manufacturing, marketing, design, and distribution. He strengthened his bonds with premier jewelers to cultivate relationships that would continue into and through the next decade.

Finally, in 2017, Mark Mazzarese separated from his family’s entity, leaving a leadership role in the now multigenerational company, to pursue his vision independent of the company he grew to exponential proportions.

Today, Mark continues to uphold the standards he outlines as the defining factors for providing the highest level of service, quality, and value to his clientele. As a descendant of more than four generations of master jewelers, the responsibility to continually evolve and develop exclusive and impressive collections continues through every carefully curated creation.
